Comments: The Final Good Bye

Hi Paco,

Please call me. I am a reporter for Army Times. I was with Paquito when he was shot and I rode with him in the humvee to the aid station, trying to do whatever I could to comfort him. He was so brave. I am back in the states now, I arrived last night and cannot stop thinking about him.

""It is foolish and wrong to mourn the men who died. Rather we should thank God that such men lived." -- George S. Patton

Such a man was Francisco Gregorio Martnez.

Please except my sincere condolences. You and your son will be remembered in my prayers.

I am so sorry for your loss. May Frank rest in peace.

You and your family are in our prayers. May God bless you and give you strength.

I hope that you find comfort in Christs' arms. Know that people are praying for you and your family and Paquito's family. It is a horrible loss when we lose a brother-at-arms in such a manner. Just know that his loss is not in vain. Your son is a hero to all of us in the infantry due to the sacrifices we must make in accomplishment of the mission. He will be remembered because of his LIFE and not his passing. Mine and my family's prayers are with you. SSG JUSTINIANO 'Que Dios, poderos, te bendiga y dar te paz y descanso en este tiempo.'

"Throughout history, it has been the inaction of those who could have acted; the indifference of those who should have known better; the silence of the voice of justice when it mattered most; that has made it possible for evil to triumph. Good people sleep peaceably in their beds at night only because rough men stand ready to do violence on their behalf."

I am sorry for your loss, Paquito's sacrifice will enable others to experience the freedom we so cherish.

You have never heard of me before and never will again. I'm writing because our beloved country is diminished by the loss of a fine young man.
It wouldn't be right to intrude on your family and friends at the funeral. Instead I'll just be another guy standing on the side of the road with his hat over his heart as you take Frank to his final resting place.
My prayers are with you, may they bring a tiny crumb of comfort.

America has lost a son, yet Heaven has gained another angel. I did not know your son but had read his post on AnySoldier. My condolences to you all. At noon, on Monday, I will ask all around me to bow their heads and offer a prayer for Paquito.

I knew Frank from high school. Frank was such a wonderful friend to me and all who knew him. I cannot tell you how much we are all going to miss him, however... we know he is not gone... he is still with us in all our hearts and we know he is watching over us now. My family and I extend to you our deepest sympathy and condolences to your family. Frank was a brave person and he made this world a better place just living and blessing us with his presence. We love you and will miss you Frankie.

I simply wish you to know my family and I have you and your family in our prayers.

You and your family are in our prayer... Our deepest condolences.

Please accept my humble condolences. Although we never knew him, he will be remembered in our prayers tonight, as will your family. He was one of our best, as is always the case in men who defend freedom. May you find solice in the fact that he lost his life doing the work of honorable men and may he rest in peace.

Please email me an address so Soldiers' Angels may send a living tree in memory of this wonderful person.

im sorry for your loss.i will keep sending care packages to the soldiers fighting in iraq....

I am a long time friend of Frank's from Los Angeles. Frank is one of my closest friends. I've known him for over 5 years, and have never seen his face in person. We treated and called each other brothers. He would tell me "I think we know more about eachother, than we may know of ourselves." We shared the same passion for musical composition. We made so many plans to meet and collaborate on musical projects since we were in high school, and talked about it every time we conversed. He recently told me, "one day, bro. yea, we've been saying that for years, but it's gonna happen. We're both adults now, and we have money and ambition." If you can hear me now, Frank. I'm sorry we didn't get a chance to do the things we planned for so long. Not only will you live on in our hearts, you will live on through your music. DJ FrEek.. FM5..Frank... Maven will never forget you. I love you, bro. You're the greatest friend any guy can ask for.
